چکیده
To investigate the shear capacity and failure mechanism of RC beams after fire exposure, fourteen full-scale without stirrups were tested at ambient temperature exposure. Three parameters, including loading ratio, span-to-depth ratio longitudinal reinforcement considered in static load tests. The deterioration bearing diagonal section exposure was experimentally, numerically theoretically revealed, a calculation formula for post-fire proposed. results show that stiffness specimens decreased strength loss increased with time. fire-damaged as span λ increased, λ. Compared theoretical experimental stirrups, average absolute errors 10.48%. Therefore, this can better calculate residual beam

Can Stirrups Suppress Size Effect on Shear Strength of RC Beams?
This paper demonstrates the size effect on the shear strength of reinforced concrete (RC) beams with stirrups and does so in two separate and independent ways: (1) by fracture mechanics, based on finite-element analysis calibrated by a large beam test; and (2) by purely statistical analysis in which a newly assembled database of 234 tests is filtered to eliminate spurious size effects caused by...
متن کاملLinear genetic programming for shear strength prediction of reinforced concrete beams without stirrups
A new design equation is proposed for the prediction of shear strength of reinforced concrete (RC) beams without stirrups using an innovative linear genetic programming methodology. The shear strength was formulated in terms of several effective parameters such as shear span to depth ratio, concrete cylinder strength at date of testing, amount of longitudinal reinforcement, lever arm, and maxim...

متن کاملStrut-and-Tie Method for Prediction of Ultimate Shear Capacity of Shear-Strengthened RC deep beams with FRP
The main objective of this study is to propose the Strut-and-Tie method (STM) to predict the shear capacity of simply supported RC deep beams shear-strengthened with carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP). It is assumed that, the total carried shear force by shear-strengthened RC deep beam provided by three independent resistance, namely diagonal concrete strut due to Strut-and-tie mechanism, ...
متن کاملImproving Shear Capacity of Existing RC T-Section Beams Using CFRP Composites
This paper presents the shear performance of reinforced concrete (RC) beams with Tsection. Different configurations of externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets were used to strengthen the specimens in shear. The experimental program consisted of six full-scale, simply supported beams. One beam was used as a bench mark and five beams were strengthened using different confi...
